Frequently Asked Questions

What to wear?
It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. For example, if you are seeking treatment for a leg injury, wearing shorts or loose pants would be appropriate. I may ask you to remove certain articles of clothing during the examination or treatment, but I will always ensure your comfort and privacy.
If you do not want to remove any clothing then you don’t have to. However, would be helpful if you attend in loose fitting clothes such as t-shirts and jogging bottoms/leggings.
Can I bring a friend?
You can have somebody present during the whole process. If the patient is under the age of 16 years of age, I ask a parent or guardian to always be present.
Does it hurt?
I will explain what to expect during the treatment process. You may feel stiff or sore after treatment but this is a normal and healthy response to the treatment and will pass quickly.
Do I need to see my doctor first?
You do not need to see your doctor first if you are paying for your own treatment. Some insurance companies require you to see your doctor first.
